The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Hawaii, which dropped a pair of games on the mainland last week, extending its mainland losing streak to five games dating back to last season. Hawaii now has won all six meetings with the Division II Vulcans from the Big Island.

Standhardinger was 10 of 12 from the field to notch his third 20-point game of the season and the 14th of his career. Isaac Fotu had 17 points for the Rainbow Warriors (3-2) and Aaron Faldes added 16 points.

Darnell Williams had 15 points to lead the Hawaii-Hilo (1-1), with 12 points from Brandon Thomas.

Treveon Graham had 14 points to lead the Rams (3-1), denied their first 4-0 start since the 1993-94 season.

Nik Stauskas scored 24 points, Caris LeVert had 20 and Michigan made a tournament-record 14 3-pointers in beating scrappy Long Beach State in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Michigan led by 18 in the first half before the margin was trimmed to 10 with less than 9 minutes to play. But the Wolverines (3-1) were able to hold on thanks to all the long-range jumpers.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Cleveland Thomas hit a 3-pointer with 39.5 seconds left in the second overtime to give New Mexico (3-0) the lead for good in a wild victory over UAB at the Charleston Classic.

The Lobos (3-0) forced overtime on Kendall Williams’ desperation 3 as time ran out to tie it 75-all. Alex Kirk then hit a 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds left in the first overtime as New Mexico dug its way out of an 86-81 hole for another period.
